What is the most important thing you want the public to know about your company?
Our main goal is to help businesses and organizations succeed in an ever-changing environment. We specialize in three areas: Website/Blog creation, maintenance and training; marketing through online platforms, such as Facebook and YouTube and finally videography services.
Do you offer social media management? I want you to do my Facebook posts and Tweets.
We offer all ranges of service for social media and online marketing support. Most of our customers want some degree of control over their online marketing and choose step-by-step training, but we’ll be happy to take it off your hands. We’ll meet with your regularly to design a custom plan.
Do you video events?
Yes. We can video family events and corporate events. We provide our own equipment and can secure audio engineer and lighting support staff. We’re comfortable with multi-camera shoots. We edit with Premiere Pro and can provide multiple discs to a few or packaged, bar-coded and ready for sale.
How do you define success?
One of the factors that led to the creation of Prism was the need to be available to my children. Success at that time was defined “being able to lock the door and go where my children needed me, when they needed me. Today, success is largely defined by how I can help other businesses survive or expand. The ultimate success for me personally is when the plan that we offer and implement makes peoples’ lives better.
When do you recommend a person, company, organization should post comments to FaceBook or Twitter for maximum exposure?
We always attempt to answer this question with the specific needs of our client in mind, but there are some general rules that apply. For instance a restaurant might want to post mid-morning to entice hungry workers to eat at their place while other businesses might find posting early in lunch hour, just before five and weekend might catch an audience who checks social sites outside of work.
What is the biggest lesson you learned recently?
Everyone who owns a business or has a management roll needs to keep learning and refining skills. At Prism Communications, we spend approximately one-third of our working hours expanding our knowledge. Resources are readily available on the internet through online training venues like Lynda.com and through community colleges that offer online and campus classes.
